Enum Class Accessible.NameFrom

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<Accessible.NameFrom>
limn.accessibility.Accessible.NameFrom
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<Accessible.NameFrom>, Constable
Enclosing class:
Accessible

public static enum Accessible.NameFrom extends Enum<Accessible.NameFrom>
Where a node's name came from. It exists because one of the three platforms maps a name that is the control's own text and a name that describes it to different attributes, and a bridge that guesses publishes into the attribute a client walking the tree does not read — which looks exactly like an empty application rather than an error.

A 1.x minor release may add constants to this enum: a switch over it needs a default branch.

  • Enum Constant Details

    • CONTENT

      public static final Accessible.NameFrom CONTENT
      The widget's own painted text: a button's caption, a label's string.
    • LABEL

      public static final Accessible.NameFrom LABEL
      Another node, named by a Accessible.Relation.LABELLED_BY relation.
    • TOOLTIP

      public static final Accessible.NameFrom TOOLTIP
      The widget's tooltip, taken because nothing else supplied a name.
    • PLACEHOLDER

      public static final Accessible.NameFrom PLACEHOLDER
      A text field's placeholder, taken because nothing else supplied a name.
    • EXPLICIT

      public static final Accessible.NameFrom EXPLICIT
      The application set it. Always wins over anything a widget derived.
