Enum Class LoopLifetime

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<LoopLifetime>
limn.backend.LoopLifetime
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<LoopLifetime>, Constable

public enum LoopLifetime extends Enum<LoopLifetime>
How long Backend.runEventLoop() runs: set with Backend.setLoopLifetime(limn.backend.LoopLifetime), UNTIL_LAST_WINDOW by default. Either way, Backend.stop() ends it at once and an agreed Backend.requestQuit() ends it after closing every window.

A 1.x minor release may add constants to this enum: a switch over it needs a default branch.

  • Enum Constant Details

    • UNTIL_LAST_WINDOW

      public static final LoopLifetime UNTIL_LAST_WINDOW
      Until no window is open. A hidden window is an open one. The default.
    • UNTIL_QUIT

      public static final LoopLifetime UNTIL_QUIT
      Until the application ends it, through Backend.requestQuit() or Backend.stop(): the loop runs with no window open, as an application that lives in the tray does.
