Enum Class PrintResult

java.lang.Object
java.lang.Enum<PrintResult>
limn.backend.PrintResult
All Implemented Interfaces:
Serializable, Comparable<PrintResult>, Constable

public enum PrintResult extends Enum<PrintResult>
What became of a print asked of the system through Printer.

No system tells a program whether paper came out: PRINTED means the system took the job, which is as far as any of them answers.

A 1.x minor release may add constants to this enum: a switch over it needs a default branch.

  • Enum Constant Details

    • PRINTED

      public static final PrintResult PRINTED
      The system's dialog was confirmed and the system took the job.
    • CANCELLED

      public static final PrintResult CANCELLED
      The user closed the system's dialog without printing.
    • UNAVAILABLE

      public static final PrintResult UNAVAILABLE
      Nothing was asked: there is no printing under this window (a headless or embedded window, a Linux desktop with no print portal), or the window had closed.
    • FAILED

      public static final PrintResult FAILED
      The system was asked and refused or failed; the reason is logged at WARNING.
